I was born into a Polish family of musicians. First violin lessons I took from my father. At the age of twelve, I debuted with The Kielce Philharmonic Orchestra performing the concerto in A minor by J. S. Bach. Later in my teens I performed with the orchestra violin concertos by Karol Szymanowski, Johannes Brahms as well as pieces by Camille Saint-Saëns and Eduard Lalo. After High School I studied with prof. Zenon Ploszaj at the Music Academy in Lodz, Poland and prof. Adam Kostecki at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover, Germany.
From the very beginning of my musical education I was interested in chamber music, playing a piano trio and a string quartet during my teens and early 20s. I won 2nd Prize with my string quartet as well as 2nd prize with my piano trio at the 'Kiejstut Bacewicz Chamber Music Competition' in Lodz. During my studies in Germany I established in 2003 the 'Panufnik Trio' and received further chamber music formation from Hatto Beyerle and Gerrit Zitterbart. In 2005 we won with the trio 'Charles Hennen Chamber Music Competition' in Heerlen, Netherlands. In the same year the 'Panufnik Trio' became a member of the European Chamber Music Academy and could regularly take part at its sessions with its tutors in Hannover, Oslo, Prades, Vienna and Zurich. So I could continue to refine my musical skills by working with Shmuel Ashkenasi, Elmar Budde, Eckart Heiligers, Erich Höbarth, Avedis Kouyoumjian, Johannes Meissl, Christoph Richter and Gabor Takacs-Nagy.
With the trio we were a welcome guest at internationally renowned festivals such as the 'Kalkalpen Musik Festival' (Austria), the 'Festival Pablo Casals Prades' (France), the 'Braunschweig Classix' (Germany), the 'Puccini e la sua Lucca' (Italy) and the 'Trondheim Chamber Music Festival' (Norway). In 2006 we have been honoured with the "Märkischer Kreis" Award - the Jury was impressed by "interpretations of youthful freshness and intoxicating momentum".
The same year we took part at the 4th Trondheim Chamber Music Festival and Academy, during which we were coached by Joseph Kalichstein and Lars Anders Tomter. We had also opportunity during this event to meet and work on our modern repertoire with David Harrington from the Kronos Quartet. In 2008 we have performed the Triple Concerto by Ludwig van Beethoven with the 'Philharmonie Gotha-Suhl' and the 'Märkisches Youth Orchestra'.
In 2015 I had great opportunity to join the 'Henschel Quartet' at their performances at the 'Dubrovnik Festival' (Croatia), the 'KotorArt Festival' (Montenegro) and the 'Oberstdorfer Musiksommer' (Germany) and received with them the 'Orlando Prize' from the 'Dubrovnik Festival' for "one of the highest artistic reaches in the overall musical history of the Dubrovnik Festival".
Parallelly I continued to perform as soloist having performances at the 'Vendsyssel Festival' (Denmark), the Concert Hall of Aarhus (Denmark), the 'Berliner Sommerklassik Festival' (Germany), the Sydney Opera House (Australia), the Espacio Cultural in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain) and the Paladium in Malmø (Sweden). At the same time I had opportunity as a leader of the the 'Chamber Philharmonic Europe' and the 'New Philharmonic Orchestra Cologne' to tour throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Moreover, I worked on linking my acting and musicals skills tooking part in a stage production of 'The Fiddler on the Roof' directed by Polish director Jan Szurmiej at the Music Theatre in Lodz (Poland), in which I acted the role of the Fiddler as well as played the violin part. My further acting episodes include taking part in the film 'The charm of Frederic' by Izabella Cywinska.
Apart from my performing activities I arrange music as well. The recent arrangements of mine include 4th Symphony by Gustav Mahler for chamber ensemble, Violin Concerto by Mieczysław Karłowicz for violin and chamber orchestra as well as Ten Pieces from 'Romeo and Juliet' by Sergei Prokofiev for piano quartet.
